The principle of gender equality is deeply embedded in the Indian Constitution, through its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only guarantees equality for women but also enables the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in their favor. MIC College is committed to advancing these constitutional objectives, aligning with the goals set by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. As part of Calicut University's responsibility, the college strives to empower women by offering quality education and skill development to enhance their lives. In addition, the Women Development Cell (WDC) has been established to ensure the safety, security, and overall well-being of women students. The core mission of the WDC is focused on promoting holistic development, while also addressing any barriers that may impede progress. This is achieved through the active involvement of students in seminars, workshops, and training programs, fostering an environment of learning and empowerment.
