Examination Rules and Regulations

Types of Examinations

There are two types of examinations:

  • Internal Examinations: Conducted at the College by the Internal Examination Committee. Two internal examinations are usually conducted per semester.
  • External Examinations: Conducted by the affiliating University at the end of each semester.

General Instructions

Students are required to be present outside the examination hall exactly 15 minutes before the start of the examination.

Students will be allowed to enter the examination hall 10 minutes before the exam begins.

Identity Verification

  • Students must present a valid photo identity card issued by the Institute.
  • If the Institute ID is forgotten, a driving license or other photo ID may be accepted upon verification.

Inside the Examination Hall

  • The invigilator will distribute the question paper and answer sheets; no other paper is allowed.
  • Students must use only the provided materials for writing answers.
  • Do not read the question paper until instructed to do so by the invigilator.

Prohibited Items and Conduct

Mobile phones, programmable calculators, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.

Students should only bring necessary items (pencils, pens, rulers, etc.).

Instructions on Materials

  • Use only non-programmable calculators unless specified by the examiner.
  • Rough work should be done on the last page of the answer book and crossed out before submission.
  • Do not tear pages from the answer book.

Answer Booklet and Question Paper

Fill in your registration number, subject code, and other details on the barcoding sheet in the answer booklet.

Ensure you have the correct question paper and report any issues to the invigilator immediately.

Conduct and Compliance

  • Students are prohibited from talking or gesturing during the exam.
  • Sign against your exam register number on the attendance sheet.
  • Ask for any required data books from the invigilator, and do not write in them.
Failure to comply with these rules may lead to disciplinary actions.
